"WE LOVE OUR WEDDING WEBSITE!!! I have gotten SO many compliments on how easy it is to get around the website. People really like the fact that they can RSVP online."
Wedding invitations are not cheap - especially if you plan to use a stationer and want the printing to be engraved. If you are not picky, though, I have two extremely cheap wedding invitation ideas for you.
The first is to custom-order an e-mail invitation. Your e-mail invitation can be sent out to as many people as you choose for one low price (but, you do need to know their e-mail addresses). And, your e-mail invitation comes with an Online RSVP - so your guests can simply click a link and instantly respond to your wedding invite via your Online RSVP on your wedding website.
How cheap is this wedding invitation idea? You can purchase your HTML e-mail wedding invitation through Bwedd.com for just $150.00! The e-mail wedding invitation comes with a classy-looking e-mail template in which you can customize certain colors to match your wedding colors.
$150 is a cheap wedding invitation when you consider that you will pay between $0.75 - $2.50 per invitation if you purchase your invitations through a printing company. Plus, you will have to pay separately for reception cards, response cards, and often even envelopes. Then, there is also the cost of the postage to send out your invitations and for your guests to return their response cards. Most couples spend over $500 on their wedding invitations without even thinking about it.

The second cheap wedding invitation idea I have for you is a detachable postcard response card. This saves you money by spending less on the return postage. Plus, your wedding invitations will be virtually free when using our Postcard Wedding Invitation document. These wedding invitations are not the typical formal wedding invitation, but if you want to save money on your wedding invitations, they are the way to go!
Change the wording to reflect your wedding ceremony and reception
Print out the number of invitations you wish to send on 25 lb. paper (found at your local office supply store).
Affix postcard postage to the blank side of the response card (ensure correct placement by double-checking where you place the stamp).
Using a perforator (available at local office supply store) roll perforations around response cards so that your guests can easily detach the response card.
Fold the invitation - first, vertically from right to left. Then horizontally from bottom to top. (See picture) Make sure that the back side of the response card, with postage, is tucked into the inside of the folds.
Choose stickers that reflect your wedding to seal the open sides of your wedding invitations.
Hand address each invitation or print out labels with each guest's name and address.
Create labels with your return address to place on back of folded invitation.
Attach correct amount of postage.
Send out your invitations.
I hope these cheap wedding invitation ideas help you cut costs on your wedding invitations!
